Dr. Mikol Davis, Family Conflict Specialist

Dr. Mikol Davis received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Sonoma State University, as well as his Master of Arts in Psychology from Sonoma State. He obtained his doctoral degree in educational and counseling psychology from the University of San Francisco in 1980. He has extensive post-doctoral educational background in human learning, communication skills, interpersonal conflict, and psychopharmacology. He has worked in psychiatric hospitals, juvenile detention halls, residential treatment, and outpatient clinics.

Dr. Davis is a practicing clinical psychologist who works with adults, couples, children and adolescents. His practice is located in San Rafael, California. He has been an instructor and lecturer in psychology and communication at numerous California colleges and universities. He is the author of Rainbows of Life, published by Harper & Row.

Dr. Davis has been in practice since 1975, accumulating significant experience with children and families. He treats patients as young as three years old, and has treated seniors up to age 85 years old. He has particular expertise in depression, anxiety, adolescent behavior, and addressing conflicts in families.

Dr. Davis has served as a consultant to businesses, in establishing employee assistance programs, and helping to reduce conflicts between administration and managers, as well as managers and employees. He worked as a consultant to WEB MD. There he created consumer information resources for online users on mental health related topics.

He is an active member of American Psychological Association, and the California Psychological Association. He has been a local member of the Marin County Psychological Association.
